<div class="tab-content-content">Wearable Widgets is an app that allows users to access thousands of widgets available on Android from their smartwatch. The app creates a bridge between the phone and the smartwatch, enabling users to get their apps on their wrist in a format that developers have already designed for compact use. This means that users do not have to wait for developers to support their watch, and they can expand their smartwatch horizons. However, users must have a supported wearable device to use this app, and some widgets lend themselves better than others to the screen of a watch.</div><div class="tab-content-content"></div><div class="tab-content-content">The app is essentially just "screencasting" the widgets, which means that the widgets themselves are still running on the phone. This also means that any actions that result from tapping on a widget will occur on the phone. Similarly, taps and swipes on the watch take a bit longer than when interacting directly with the phone, resulting in some unavoidable lag in the connection between devices. However, widgets will generally still be usable, just not quite as snappy.</div><div class="tab-content-content"></div><div class="tab-content-content">To use phone widgets on the watch, users need to install Wearable Widgets on both their phone and linked watch separately. The app is a full-fledged app on both devices, and there are several ways to use phone widgets on the watch, including as a conventional app, as a watch face, as complications in other non-WW faces, and as a Tile alongside the watch face (currently in beta).</div>
