<div class="tab-content-content">Facebook has launched a new market research app called Study from Facebook, which collects and analyses participants' app usage data. The app is only available to registered participants who have been invited to join the program. The data collected includes information about the apps installed on participants' phones, the time spent using apps, and the features used in certain apps. Facebook uses this data to gain insights into which apps people value and how they are used, in order to build better products for Facebook and the community. The Study app does not collect user IDs, passwords, or content people share, and Facebook does not sell data from the app to third parties. </div><div class="tab-content-content"></div><div class="tab-content-content">The data collected from the Study app is not used to personalize users' experiences or to provide and improve ads on Facebook Company Products. However, information provided to Facebook Viewpoints or Facebook, such as age, country, and gender, may be used to personalize users' experiences and improve ads on Facebook Company Products. </div><div class="tab-content-content"></div><div class="tab-content-content">Participants in the Study program are required to download the app in order to participate, and the app will only work on phones of registered participants.
